Plashirware Calculator

Privacy

Short version: the calculator runs entirely in your browser, there is no account, no cookie and no analytics, and what you type never reaches the server.

What stays on your device

The tape, the keypad mode and your choice of degrees or radians are kept in your browser's local storage. That data belongs to your browser alone; it is not transmitted, and it is not readable by anyone else. Clearing site data for this domain, or using the Clear tape button, removes it immediately.

What the server records

Serving a page leaves an ordinary web server log entry: the time, the file requested, the response code, the browser's user agent string and the requesting IP address. These logs exist to keep the site running and to spot abuse. They are not joined to any other data, not used to build a profile, and not shared with anyone. They rotate out within two weeks.

Requests to other companies

The page loads its two typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, and Google will see your IP address as part of that. Nothing you calculate is included. If the fonts fail to load the calculator still works and falls back to a typeface already on your system.
